Happy New Year

I hope you all enjoyed the festive season and wish you a Happy New Year with the prospect of many new opportunities and exciting adventures.

One of my goals for this year other than to focus more and be more organised is to BLOG MORE REGULARLY. Yes, that's right, to give people a reason to still visit my blog and I thankyou ever so sincerely if you do and appreciate you all so much :)

I have posted the January challenge over at Scrap Sanity - Everything Old Is New Again - with a $20 store voucher up for grabs and would love for you all to join in the fun of the challenge, click here to link straight thru and check it all out or read on below.
.
I've posted a challenege like this before a couple years ago as I think it's so cool. You have to take an old layout and reusing the same photo, or similar (ie another 6x4 photo in black and white if you don't have exact same) and re-do it how you would today. I love this challenge because it is a great way to see how far you have developed as an artist and takes away the cringe factor of some old projects lol. Please title your layouts as January Challenge Old Layout and January Challenge New Layout in the gallery so that we know what we are looking at. The winner of this challenge will receive a $20 store voucher. Projects to be uploaded to the gallery by midnight January 31st and a winner will be announced Feb 1st. Happy creating and can't wait to see all your old layouts shiney and new again, see you in the forum, Tiff :)

Spot On...

Thanks everyone for your comments on "the hop", I enjoyed reading them all, you really are all very entertaining indeed. But there was one comment in particular who hit the nail on the head exactly and that comment was by Michelle....

Hmmmm..... the mind boggles Tiff .... but I think you're looking at starting your own business! Whatever your venture is I wish you luck and success!! Shelee :)xx

So to Shelee, congratulations my dear, you are very intuitive and thus, the lucky winner of the Twiddley goodness!!! Would you mind shooting me thru your address lovely, as having moved recently, if I had it once, it's unlikely I would be able to find it in a hurry again lol.

And as for what business? All shall be revealed very shortly.....

Saturday Morning Rackmania!!!

Firstly, a huge THANKYOU to Sandie for organising this blog hop, you are the most amazing team player, friend, mother, artist, the list goes on and on and I'm not sure what we would do without you here, truly (yes, I'm putting my hand up for hand picking her to be on the Design Team), you are worth more munnie hunnie! PS if Sandie's post has not gone live it's because she has been out with The Hoff all night and informs us that as soon as she is sober, she shall fix it all up LOL.

***If by chance you have come here simply because you love me (bless your cotton socks if there are people who still visit my blog only to see I haven't updated in months LOL), totally unawares that you have landed yourself smack bang in the middle of our Twiddleybitz Rakmania and would like to join us, then all the fun starts here ***

So, are you ready TO DANCE around the blogs and have some fun today? I hope so :):):) As I have been up to no good once again LOL, I have not had a lot of time for new projects so have decided to share my latest Masters layout with you that is also on display at the Penrith Papercrafts Festival this weekend, so if you are in the vicinity, please drop into the Twiddley Booth and say hi to the team. I can ASSURE you that you will be inspired by the Design Teams creations on display due to my severe salivation during the set up process (I hope none of the projects still have any of my dribble on LOL). But wait, there's more...... should anyone not be inspired, I am even prepared to EAT A PIECE OF TWIDDLEYBITZ & PUT IT ON YOUTUBE!!!!

And just a few other layouts I have enjoyed creating this year, I think the boy layout had 42 pieces on it!!!

And a sneak of one coming out in next months Scrapbooking Memories Mag being the Christmas Edition and I have used a heap of Twiddleybitz on this layout.

So now for the exciting bit, who wants to win some Twiddley goodness??? All you have to do is to guess what you think it is that I've been up to for all this time that's kept me off the airwaves and facebook, etc. and PLEASE let me give you the heads up immediately that I'M NOT PREGNANT!!!! Oh no, think I would rather drive off a cliff and that's not meant to be a joke!!! Hmmmm, what could it be do you think? Entering politics? Getting a sex change (for the 2nd time, going back again LOL)? Have invented something of actual use? Won the lottery? Setting up my own reality TV show (God help us all!!!) I can't wait to hear your answers, all you have to do is tell me in your comments what you think & I've been up to & I'll announce a winner sometime next week.

And so now it's time to go off AND DANCE with my very good friend Jo Twiddleybitz Kinder where I'm sure she will have some fun in store for you all.

So I hope you had fun and until next time happy creating and be good, but if you can't, you know the drill, remember to take photos and show me later LOL, cheers for now :):):)

Scrap Whisper

Hi beautiful people :):):)

I was fortunate enough earlier this year to be asked to participate in the beautiful Bridgette's Scrap Whisper. The challenge was to use something from around the house on the layout. My item of choice was none other than some trusty 5 cent pieces. I used them to enhance my scallop that I cut from patterned paper. I think it will be interesting in years to come to look back at them after they are no longer in circulation. I have used the reverse side also to show both sides of the coin.

And the next beautiful person whose turn it is in the whisper is none other than the lovely Kerry Snell. You can click straight thru to her blog here to see what Kerry created using the criteria.

I have some new layouts to share and will be back with them tomorrow, until then, happy creating :):):)

Brisbane Craft Expo Pics

A fun time was to be had by all at the recent Craft Expo in Brisbane. I was fortunate to meet a lot of online friends in real life and am pleased to report that none of them "looked better online" LOL. Here are some pics of the occasion, but realised when I got home that I was a little shy when it came to matters of the lense ;)

Scrapbooking Memories Daily Masters Talks

I gave a talk on recycled mixed media albums using junk from around the house.

Mad scrapbooking shoppers, happy to stop in for a listen and rest their weary feet for a minute before more shopping!!!

I have revamped some old layouts and added some Twiddleybitz for good measure.

And this was a gorgeous card made for me recently for the Twiddleybitz card swap by An Invitation To Scrap, thankyou so much :):):)

And here is my layout for this months awesome challenge over at Scrap The Girls, the criteria being;

Scrap a layout using this album cover by ‘Pink’ ‘Greatest Hits….So Far’ as your inspiration.

Choose the colours, design, words whatever grabs you and use them to create your layout, girls only of course.
AND you have to choose any song title or lyrics by Pink and use them anywhere on your layout,
either as a title on your page or in your journaling.

Give it a go, it is heaps of fun. Simply click on the link in my sidebar to connect straight thru to the Scrap The Girls site :):):) I will take this opportunity also to thank Malinda team for choosing me to be on the creative team too, that was so cool, thanks, I'm loving it!!!

Sorry I don't blog as much these days, things are so busy and I do miss it. I will endeavour to update more regularly and get around to all of yours as well like I used to. I'll be back with some layouts for Just Scrapbooking and maybe a wee tutorial using some of their gorgeous products too. Until then, take good care, Tiff :):):)

Masters Projects

It's been more than 2 months since the mag came out so, I'd like to share my masters projects with you.

2010 MASTER TASKS
1. Scrap a single page on any topic or theme. But here’s the catch ... the layout must include:
•At least three photos, one of which must be bigger than 6in x 4in.
•Journalling using more than 10 words, excluding the title.
•One item not bought from a scrapbooking store – be sure to tell us which item this is.

2. Create a double-page layout focusing on paying homage to your past, remembering stories and helping to preserve them for future generations. Prominent features should include photos, memorabilia and journaling – all the important elements of scrapbooking and preserving your life’s memories.

3 Create a practical off-the-page project that can be used in your everyday life. We want you to create something that has a useful, real purpose. Use your imagination and create something unique.

I'm also excited to be giving a talk each day at the upcoming

Australian Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo

in Brisbane from 11th-13th June. My talk will be at 12pm each day where I will show you how to create a recycled mixed media album out of things you may usually just consider rubbish? It should be a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing you all at the show.

I will also be doing a double page layout class for Twiddleybitz, so please contact me if you are interested and to book a space, I will have full details of the class as they come to hand. And don't forget to check out our Ning site to see who our latest DT members are, it's so very exciting and they are super talented too!!! Click HERE for the hot goss.

And last but not least, the very lucky winner of the gorgeous Twiddleybitz cupcake stand kit from my previous post is.....
CHRISTINE - CONGRATS!!! Please forward me your address for your prize :):):)

And so until next time lovelies, Happy Creating, luv me :):):)
