2ND & 3RD ASSIGNMENTS COMPLETE

What a whirlwind of a week so far. If anyone had of told me a couple weeks ago that I would be competing in the Rusty Pickle Amazing Race with my husband working 7 days a week and no help looking after the kids, I would have said, no way, not possible, but guess what? That's right, that's exactly what's happened! Life sure can be ironic can't it? Here we are in the middle of winter and the demand for turf is greater than ever. So here are my entries for the 2nd and 3rd assignments for the big race. The 2nd assigment was completed using the Mayflower range of papers and embellishments and we had to create an 8x8 mini album about why we would like to be a Rusty Pickle Chef. We were given 72 hours to complete the task. I decided to go the tact of why I started scrapbooking in the first place, a story I have never shared before and the journaling ended up turning into a full blown novel and the story ended up taking precedence over the design. I kept the design simple as it didn't seem appropriate to smother it in embellishments. Sometimes, It's more about the story, you now? So here it is;
The 3rd assignment was completed using the Pop Star range of papers and embellishments and we had to create a double layout on what defines a perfect day for us. It had to include and interactive feature which means something that opens or pulls. We had 24 hours to complete the task. Here's what I created;
And finally, this week's winner of my giveaway is.........
Samantha - woohooo!!!!! Please email me your addy and I'll have your goodies out to you ASAP.
Feel free to leave me a comment this week to be in the running for my 5th of 52 giveaways which will be a packet of Heidi Grace alphabet rub-ons.
Until next time sweet bloggers, happy scrapping, Tiff :o)

FIRST ASSIGNMENT COMPLETE

Well good evening me hearties (can you tell I hang around kids all day much hehe?), I have completed the first leg of the Rusty Pickle Amazing Race and I must say, I am exhausted. But there is really no time to be because at 4am tomorrow (approx. 6 hours time), it will all start again!!!! I really enjoyed my first challenge even though I am tired. It was based on a sketch and we had to use the Game On range of papers which you guessed it are based around sports and achievement. Here's the sketch...
And here's my take...
I can't believe I ran out of daylight and that it took me almost as long to photograph the layout as it did to put it together, no joke, trying to avoid the camera flash and get the right angle, etc, an absolute nightmare. That's why the full shot is not as front on as it normally would be, but that's the best I could do so I just hope it's good enough. Anyone wanting to see the amazing work of the other lovely finalists, they are all such amazing and friendly gals, I know I will have some lifelong friends at the other side of this, you can go to http://www.embellish-online.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=567 and don't forget to leave some love too, if you have time as any well wishes are much appreciated.
Also, I would love to see you over at Enchanted this weekend for our June Cybercrop. There is a guest DESIGN TEAM spot up for grabs and all you have to be in the running is upload what you consider to be your best layout ever, it's that simple and it doesn't have to be new either. So get on over and join us for lots of games, chatting, great prizes, lfun and as mentioned the much sought after guest DT spot. I hope to see you there. So until I post the next leg of my race, take care sweet ones and happy scrapping, Tiff :o)
