Isn't She Lovely?

For a 3.5 year old, she has an amazing comprehension of the world around her. She pays special attention to her Poppy, as although she may not entirely understand the consequences of terminal cancer, she understands that their is something up with Poppy and always shows him the utmost concern and attention. Every night they ring each other and I wish I could bottle these conversations as they are filled with so much love and affection for each other. I will never forget the late night calls my daughter makes to her beloved Poppy during whatever precious time he has left with us. Love you always and forever Daddy and so proud of you my beautiful girl, I have tears now reflecting on the extraordinary bond they share xxx.

Diary Of A Scrapping Steamroller

My good friend Tiff Firth, once referred to me as a "SCRAPPING STEAMROLLER" and that is exactly the way I feel at the moment. From the moment I wake up in the morning to the time my head hits the pillow at night, I am planning my next class or project. I am literally answering the phone and tending to the kids whilst carrying paper in my hands and distressing or shaping as I go. I could be talking to someone with creative thoughts flowing thru my mind. Here's some of what I've churned out over the past 3 days;

EXCITING NEWS

God has thrown a little magic my way in order to keep my spirits up of late (see below re Daddy).....

I received an email from Memory Makers Books telling me they wanted 2 of my layouts for their upcoming publication Big Book Of Scrapbook Ideas. I'm so excited to be getting my first book publication.

I've also been offered a full time DT position at Bumble Bee Crafts for which I am overjoyed. THANKYOU Joy for believing in me, I will not let you down.

I'll also be teaching at SIA this year forTwiddleybitz. My class "What If I Was To Tell You How Much You Mean To Me?" will be held from 10.30am - 12.30pm on Tuesday 4th, May where I'll be showcasing one of our amazing new products. There are going to be so many wonderful people there that my mind is spinning, I'll be like a kid in a candy store hehe. If you are going, be sure to stop by the Twiddleybitz booth to say hi, I'd love to meet you :):):)

I just had to share these images from the Prima blog from one of my all time favourite designers, Donna Downey, I don't think there is anything this lady does that doesn't inspire me (pardon the pun as we all know that is the name of her retreat workshops). If ever you lose your mojo, be sure to check out her blog as it is nothing short of inspiration amazing.

And just some other random stuff that's inspiring me at the moment.

Here's a look at one of the exciting new Bo Bunny collections that I am designing with for Bumble Bee Crafts. I'll be back soon to share what I've created.

Thanks to everyone who has been asking about my Dad, he has good and bad days and was feeling quite sick after the final lot of radiation (there will be no further treatments) and was losing weight he couldn't afford to due to no appetite, but with the help of some steroids is now feeling like eating small amounts. Some things are still getting stuck on the way down but we just have to be grateful that he now has an appetite to be able to enjoy some small amounts of food for whatever time he has left. My Daddy is my hero, my inspiration and I love him so much for his positive attitude thru all of this that my heart aches, he has the most wonderful spirit and is truly an amazing man.

And congrats to the following names who are the winners of my bonus prize giveaways.
