Week 7 Embellish It

Here's my Week 7 entry using the following criteria;

* create your own patterned background

* make and use at least 3 inchies on your project

* use a quote as part of your title

* do not use alpha stickers on your project

* create a handmade embellishment from fabric

And a quick Twiddley share using some of the new Chrissy range :):):)

Creations To Share

Here's a bunch of layouts, hope you enjoy some of them. I've tried to focus on the use of more patterned paper and less embellishments and do like it as the layouts seem to come together quite quickly, which is what I am after a lot of the time as life is just so busy and has a habit of getting in the way.

My latest DT work for Bumble Bee Crafts using Fancy Pants "Wishful Thinking" range.

I have entered this one in Color Combos Galore #152. I love this picture of the kids waiting for Daddy to arrive home, it really does show how much they love and admire him.

This was the inspiration board - yum!!!

And my week 6 entry for Embellish It Comp.

Plus a set of Chrissy cards I did recently just because using Kaiser and Prima goodies.

My happy news for this week is that my darling son, 5 years old who has autism, wrote his name without being prompted but better still, he also wrote "mummy". His teacher was so proud she range to tell me and I was overjoyed with emotion and actually gave myself a headache from crying. It meant more to me than anything that he has acheived such a wonderful skill.

I haven't liked any of my other entries, but I do love this, it's totally me and totally double LOL. For some reason, I love doing them so much more than singles and will always choose a double if I have the choice. So here she is, for Week 5 of Embellish It Comp at Scrap N Craft With T, just click on the blinkie over there LOL for peeps. We had to do a monochromatic layout with a hint of another colour, so I chose pink and black, perfect for lil Miss. We also had to display paper rolling and/or quilling ***gasp*** hehe. I paper rolled the sun rays, the body of the butterfly and the blinds on the house, which is a Funky Town house from Twiddleybitz. We also had to use acetate which I used for all my stamped imaged, feature stamping which is the butterfly, 4 flourishes and script font onto 2 of the flowers and create an embellishment using some of the criteria, I did the butterfly on the top LHS. I had a lot of fun with this, but glad it's over as it seemed to take FOREVER!!! That's it for now folks, see you on the flip side and take good care of you, Tiff :):):)

Just Keeping My Head Above Water

A sincere thankyou to everyone for your heartfelt messages for my Dad and my family, here, Facebook, Twiddleybitz and on other forums. It is an extremely difficult time for us all as you can imagine and your words of support are giving some comfort so I thank each and every one of you for that.

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post. I used to do a couple posts a week and now it has been over a month. I really must apologise to the lovely ladies who entered my giveaway and if you have been waiting for the winner, well here she is.............

Due to the situation at hand, my scrapping has been extremely limited, but I do have a couple of things to share.

Here are some of my entries for Embellish It Comp, I have been lucky enough to have made it to Week 4 of the Competition and am enjoying the criteria, many of which I would never have tried if not for the comp and I have found a new love of hand stitching LOL.
