Melbourne Paperific The Best & Worst

I was overjoyed to have gotten to Sydney airport with plenty of time to spare for my morning flight to Melbourne after not having slept the night before due to the anticipation of it all (I don't get out much LOL) and skipped thru the departures lounge with much anticipation of my exciting day ahead. On arrival at Melbourne airport I was wisked away by car and taken straight to the show (thank's Andrew, you rock LOL) and then showered with hugs, gifts and a cute lil trophy to which I was very much suprised and a little gobsmacked to be honest. My gorgeous and most generous girls presented me with THIS......

Am I just the luckiest Design Team Coordinator ever or what???? If not, I am certainly the MOST appreciative, that's for sure! Thankyou to each and everyone of you girls, it is an absolute pleasure working with you all and am inspired by you daily, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, you made my day and made me smile countless times :):):)

Here are some happy snaps from Paperific.

Tantalizing Teresa and I.

My trademark head cut off pic LOL.

Bubbly Bec and I.

Nicest Nic and I.

Adorable Andrew & I.

For some reason I didn't get a pic with poor Jen, sorry Jen, next time we'll have to do 2 to make up hon and I was very excited to meet you IRL!!!

Our rockin Twiddleybitz Wall Of Fame - woohoo!!!

Our booth (I believe that is the adorable Naomi Cox talking to our Mr Boss Man LOL, hmmmmmmm did Mrs Scrapware know about this at all hon? Jokes of course hehe, it was SUPER SPECIAL meeting you loveleeeeeeeee lady and Linda too, you girls ROCK!).

All was going swimmingly until I got a slammer of a headache around lunch time, followed by nausea when I tried to eat dinner that the girls had so lovingly taken me out for and then held the sick bag all the way home on the plane. I'm sure the poor girl sitting next to me was mortified LOL. Aside from feeling like death warmed up, we managed to arrive in Sydney 10 mins before schedule which was a lovely bonus and so I rang hubby on the tarmac and told him I would be home in around an hour, which would have been about 9pm............ that was until................ I did a Jerry Seinfeld and in the carpark and LOST MY CAR!!!!! Yes that's right, biggest loser award goes right *HERE* on my forehead LOL. So not only did I have a thumping headache, nausea, aching feet in high heel boots (dumb I know but I am blonde after all LOL) and about a 25kg bag full of scrap loot breaking my arms off, I was also now disoriented in a sea of concrete and couldn't for the life of me find my blessed car. The more I looked, the more anxious and frightened I became. Walking around the airport that late at night, not knowing how you are going to get the hell outta there with a bunch of creepy looking ethnic types staring you up and down as though they could steal your bags at any second is quite scary let me tell you. My hour that I would be home in, had now passed and I was STILL AT THE AIRPORT, tired, frightenend and feeling totally hopeless. If it wasn't for this nice Aussie couple feeling sorry for me and driving me around the airport till I found the bastard, I may well still be there crying in a humpled mess, THANKYOU whoever you are, I really hope something good comes back your way for your kindest gesture to a DAMSAL IN DISTRESS LOL. So there came the eventual end to my one day trip to Paperific and I'd happily do it all again tomorrow, would just pay more attention to where I parked next time LOL.

And just a couple quick layouts which are all I have to show for about the last 3 weeks..... ooooooooops, not really very good considering I have been to retreat in that time *insert roll eyes here* better get my bum into gear very shortly LOL (bugger it as I would have been home in time to see the tail end of Dancing With The Stars too damn it!!!)

Till next time, thanks for stopping by and happy creating, Tiff :):):)

Wendy, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you hon, you are very much the deviot and made me laugh the whole time, apologies for the crap layout I did for our swap, was just too deleriously tired. I love yours though, thanks so much, will treasure it always.

Sorry if I have missed anyone out in the pics, was not intentional at all and sorry for having no projects to show as I spent most of the time talking, as we do LOL.

Till next time, happy creating, Tiff :):):)

Aftermath Of The Masters

This is what my studio looks like after the aftermath of completing my Masters projects this past 10 days. Had everything layed out ready to go the day after the criteria came out and then left it to the final days to actually get off my bum and do something about it. Amazing what a deadline can do :)

Taken last night so not the best pics, but you get the idea LOL.

Oh bugger, I need my Heidi Swapp distresser, I know she's in there somewhere. Second thought's it may just be easier to buy another one LOL.

Anyone seen the broom LOL? I'm sure we own one somewhere?

Need I say more? Now the fun of the wait and clean up starts. Wendy, you said you loved cleaning LOL, you may be in for a treat on Sunday in that case hehehe (I swear she'll never want to come back again LOL) :):):)

And then hand delivering my creations this morning (please car just get me there LOL) and looking for the street address while stopped at traffic, 50 Silverwater Road, oh crap, there she is right there hehe, quick grab the camera and don't worry about the traffic LOL, I need this for my blog, oh hello Mr Policeman, how are you today? LOL.

And my baby girl in the Scrapbooking Memories waiting room, very proud of Mummy as she hands over the last 2 weeks of her life in a box LOL.

"This is fun Mummy, I want to work here when I'm big" hehehehe.

I didn't get any pics of any of the staff as emergency crews were attempting to rescue them from being burried alive in the sea of entries that have arrived in the last minutes before deadline. A positive outcome is expected though and I will keep you informed *wink*.

And a sneaky, what the hell LOL?

So that was my journey folks, now I just have to wait for what feels like 3 years to find out if I made the Top 50 and beyond. I would like to wish everyone who entered the best of luck as I know you would have put your heart and soul into your projects as did I. Just imagine, "OH WHAT A FEELING" (sound like a familiar commercial much hehe?) would it be to get that call..............sigh.............

Till next time, happy creating, Tiff :):):)

A Nice Surprise

I submitted this layout well over a year ago, so it was a very nice surprise to see it appear in this months edition of Scrapbooking Memories magazine. Flipping through to discover my too munchkins cheeky faces almost brought a tear to my eye. Have you every come across one of your projects unexpectedly? I'd love to hear about it if you have?

Till next time, happy creating, Tiff :):):)

Welcome To The Final Leg Of Our Twiddley Journey

AND THE WINNERS ARE......
MY BLOG PRIZE - WIRG'S CREATIVE WORLD
NICOLE'S BLOG PRIZE - DEBI J
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Please leave a comment here or forward
me your addresses via the Ning :):):)

***If you have come here simply because you love me (bless your cotton socks LOL), totally unawares that you have landed yourself smack bang in the middle of our first ever Twiddleybitz blog hop finale and would like to join us, then the fun starts here ***

Wow, and what an awesome journey it has been. Wouldn't you agree? I had my reservations about trying to organise a hop with such a large design team (only a few minor technical glitches along the way, but who's counting? hehe), but am so glad I perservered as it's been a real team spirit builder and an absolute delight to get to know many of you better than I otherwise would have and so well worth the hard work :) Now I can get back to cleaning my very neglected house LOL.

I'd like to share with you all a wee album I created last week featuring many different Twiddleybitz pieces throughout and also featuring my beautiful daughter Alana who just turned 4 on August 1st and going on 24 as they say LOL (I have a real Diva on my hands already and bracing myself for the teenage years LOL).

If you'd like to see my video tutorial of this embossed chipboard technique, check out the YouTube clip on the bottom RHS of the Ning site.

Are you a follower here and on my networked blog on Facebook? If so, please allow me to enter you into the draw for this trio of Twiddleybitz magic I whipped up earlier especially for my giveaway. You can find the follow me links in my sidebar. Click for a larger view. Everyone welcome :):):)

But wait, there's more, a LOT more actually. It is always us design team girls that get all the lime light and recognition and it is often forgotten that there are other people working tirelessly behind the scenes who enable us to have our jobs creating with all the delightful product we are given. Those people are Andrew and Nicole Skender, the founders and operators of Twiddleybitz who work night and day designing and manufacturing the very products we have been drooling over this very blog hop. So to them I would like to say a huge thankyou. I'm honoured to be a part of your team and it is a pleasure working for you both. Here's to many more successful Twiddley years *raise glass here* LOL. I am also very excited to give a shout out to Janet Vincent who is doing a fantastic job as our WA Sales Rep and Store Coordinator, go Janet :)

Here are a couple projects created by the Boss Lady herself Nicole Skender, thanks Nic for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join in the fun.

Simply by leaving a comment here, you will be entered in the draw as well to win these hot products that are yet to released, so be the first to get your hands on these babies, thanks Nic and Andrew :):):)

I have also handpicked my favourite projects (it's hard finding stuff that is not out for publication by the way) from each of the design team members including Nic and Janet and it has been fun to see that some of these have been the designers favourites too.
